Frequently asked questions.

Trying and buying
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Five sample questions for each exam, with worked explanations and their sources, with no account or card. A free account then unlocks a 20-question mini mock exam for each exam, with your weakest topics and what to read. Choose your exam.
What does a pass include?
Your PLAB 1 pass covers the full PLAB 1 question bank and two timed 180-question mock exams, every answer explained with its source; a tracker that picks your next topic, with smart revision and a readiness score; and a week-by-week study plan to your sitting. If you finish the bank and both mock exams and still don’t pass, choose a refund or more time. Paid once, with no subscription and no automatic renewal. One MRCPsych pass covers Paper A and Paper B in the same way.
How much does it cost?
PLAB 1: £29 for 3 months, £49 for 6 months, £69 for 12 months. MRCPsych (Paper A and Paper B): £29 for 1 month, £39 for 3 months, £59 for 6 months, £89 for 12 months. See the passes.
Will I be charged again automatically?
No. A pass is a single payment through Lemon Squeezy. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. When your pass ends, you can buy another if you need more time.
When does my access start?
As soon as Lemon Squeezy confirms your payment, usually within a minute. Your pass then appears on your dashboard, and its length counts from that moment. If you already have a pass for the same exam, the new one is added on top.
Do prices include VAT?
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for MedMocks. It takes the payment, works out any tax that applies where you live and shows you the final price before you pay.
Can I cancel and get a refund?
You can cancel within 14 days of buying, as long as you haven’t started using the question bank. When you pay, you ask for access to start straight away, so the right to cancel ends once you start using it. If anything is faulty or not as described, you keep your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Cancellations and refunds.
What is refund or more time?
The bank and the mock exams are the plan. Finish them before your sitting, with no minimum score. If you still don’t pass PLAB 1, send your result within 30 days and choose your money back or twice your pass length, free. It applies to PLAB 1 passes. Read the terms.
Studying
Where do the answers come from?
PLAB 1 questions are written from current UK sources: NICE guidelines, GMC guidance, UK law and codes of practice, Resuscitation Council UK, RCOG, the UK Medical Eligibility Criteria and the Oxford Handbooks. MRCPsych questions are written from the standard psychiatry textbooks, NICE and UK mental health law. Each explanation names its source, so you can read it.
How do the timed mock exams work?
PLAB 1 has two timed mock exams of 180 questions in 3 hours. Each MRCPsych paper has two of 150 questions in 3 hours. You get no feedback until you submit. Then you see your score by topic, every explanation and what to read first.
How does smart revision work?
Questions you get wrong go into revision. Each one comes back after 10 minutes, then after 1, 3 and 7 days, until you get it right on three separate days. Questions you get right first time don’t come back, so your time goes where it helps.
What is the readiness score?
A summary of how much of the bank you’ve covered, how accurate and consistent you are, and your mock exam results. It appears after 50 questions across 3 topics. It is a study guide, not a prediction of your result.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. MedMocks runs in your phone’s browser. Your progress is saved to your account, so you can switch between phone and laptop.
I think a question is wrong. What should I do?
Email support@medmocks.com with the question wording. We check every report against the source and correct the bank.
