LEGAL
Terms of service.
Please read these terms before you create an account or buy a pass. They explain what you get, what you can expect from us and your rights. Last updated: 25 October 2026.
1. Who we are
MedMocks (medmocks.com) is operated by Certiva (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (registration number 2026/338141/07) (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at support@medmocks.com. These terms apply when you use the site, create an account or buy a pass. If you are buying as a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not take away (see section 11).
2. What MedMocks provides
- Free, with no account: five sample questions for each exam, with explanations.
- Free, with an account: a 20-question mini mock exam for each exam, with your weakest topics.
- With a PLAB 1 pass: the full PLAB 1 question bank, each question with a worked explanation and its source; two timed 180-question, 3-hour mock exams; smart revision; a readiness score; a week-by-week study plan; and a dashboard by topic.
- With an MRCPsych pass: the same for MRCPsych Paper A and Paper B, with two timed 150-question, 3-hour mock exams for each paper.
MedMocks is independent revision material. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the General Medical Council or the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and the questions are original, not past exam questions.
3. Your account
- You need an account to save progress and to buy a pass. Please give accurate details and keep your password secure.
- An account and a pass are for one person. You must not share your login or let anyone else use your pass.
- MedMocks is intended for adults. You must be 18 or over to create an account.
4. Buying a pass
- A PLAB 1 pass costs £29 for 3 months, £49 for 6 months, £69 for 12 months. An MRCPsych pass, covering Paper A and Paper B, costs £29 for 1 month, £39 for 3 months, £59 for 6 months, £89 for 12 months. Every pass length includes every feature for its exam.
- A pass is a single payment. There is no subscription and it does not renew automatically.
- Lemon Squeezy sells the pass to you as our merchant of record and reseller. It takes the payment, works out and collects any VAT or sales tax, shows you the final price before you pay and sends your receipt. Lemon Squeezy’s own buyer terms apply to the payment.
- Your pass starts when Lemon Squeezy confirms the payment to us, and runs for the number of months you chose. If you buy a pass while one for the same exam is still running, the new months are added to the end of it.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects a pass you have already bought.
- Some early PLAB 1 customers have a monthly subscription from before passes were introduced. It continues on its existing terms until you cancel it.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel within 14 days of buying for a full refund as long as you haven’t started using the question bank. When you pay, you ask for access to start straight away and confirm you understand that the right to cancel ends once you start using it. PLAB 1 passes also carry refund or more time. Your rights for faulty content are not affected. The details are on our cancellations and refunds page, which forms part of these terms.
6. Your licence
While your pass is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content for your own revision. The free sample and mini mock exam are licensed on the same basis. The licence ends when your access ends.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- share your account or pass, or sell or give access to anyone else;
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, record, publish or redistribute questions, explanations or mock exams, including in study groups, forums or other question banks;
- try to get around access controls, free limits or the timing of mock exams, or interfere with the service or its security;
- use the service for anything unlawful.
If you seriously or repeatedly break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. We will tell you why, and unless the breach was serious we will give you a chance to put it right first.
8. Intellectual property
The questions, explanations, mock exams, software and design of MedMocks belong to Certiva (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright. Guideline and textbook titles are cited only to tell you where to read further; they belong to their publishers, who do not endorse MedMocks.
9. Content and study use
- The content is written to help you revise. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, and we correct errors when they are reported.
- It is study material, not clinical guidance. Always follow current guidelines, local policy and your own clinical judgement in practice.
- The readiness score and study plan are study guides based on your own answers. They do not predict your result, and we cannot promise any exam outcome.
- Exam formats, content and dates are set by the General Medical Council and the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Check them on their own websites.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep MedMocks available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may improve and update the content and features. We will not make changes that significantly reduce what you have paid for during your pass; if we have to, we will tell you and offer a refund for the time left on your pass.
11. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose, and that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If they are not, you can ask us to repair or replace the content, or for a price reduction or refund. If faulty digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content, you may be entitled to a repair or compensation. See cancellations and refunds for how to ask. For independent advice, contact Citizens Advice.
12. Our responsibility to you
- We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
- We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your statutory rights.
- MedMocks is for private study. We are not responsible for business losses, such as loss of earnings or opportunity, or for the outcome of any exam.
- Apart from the matters above, our total liability to you for any pass is limited to the amount you paid for it.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using MedMocks at any time and ask us to delete your account from your Account page. Deleting your account ends any pass on it, and it does not by itself give a refund outside your cancellation and statutory rights. If we decide to close the service, we will give you reasonable notice and refund the unused part of any pass.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes in the law or in the service. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will tell you about important changes by email or on the site. The terms in force when you bought a pass apply to that pass, unless a change is to your benefit or required by law.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live. Please contact us first, so we can try to resolve any problem quickly.
